Frank Millirons is a man on the run. He has spent most of his solitary life running from a painful past, avoiding relationships and stability. He has also made the mistake of stealing from his employer, a ruthless man named Inocente Morales. Now, instead of running from his past, he is running for his life. After a violent confrontation with Inocente in a small, Oklahoma town, Frank is seriously wounded. He seeks medical attention from Dr. Chris Bacon, a country doctor who listens to his story. With Inocente and his men, as well as federal and local law enforcement closing in, Chris must decide how far she will go to help Frank.
