In 2008 a top-secret US submarine on its test voyage went missing in the Southern Ocean off the Antarctic Coast. Today its emergency beacon is finally activated, but strangely, its location is tracked to an emanation point several miles below the ice sheets of the frozen continent.

The race is on as the Chinese government want its secrets and the Americans need to retrieve their technology, quickly and quietly, from a place now marked as an international forbidden-zone.

There is only one team, led by one man, who knows what horrors lie deep below the Antarctic ice -- send in the HAWCs and the Arcadian.
