The first time Dominique Jones picked up a ball he knew what he wanted to do with his life and now all his hard work is about to pay off. Dominique has just signed a million dollar contract to play for the Nigerian Knockers. Unfortunately, Dominique starts spending money so fast that he is about to lose it all at the hands of a slick talkin' car salesman, a devious jeweler, and a gorgeous gold-digger who all have a little something to teach. Dominique will have to wise up and learn that “Knowledge is Better than Riches” or face losing everything he's worked so hard to gain, including his freedom. "The Dumb Millionaire" teaches children that money is meant to be spent wisely. It stresses to children the need to pay attention in school. The reader follows Dominique as he foolishly purchases items with no thought as to how much he has spent or how much he has remaining. The lesson--receiving a large sum of money with no understanding, no knowledge, may not be the greatest gift of all. Each purchase is demonstrated in the book along with the mathematical operation required to calculate its total cost. The reader is shown additon, subtraction, multiplication and division. Math pages are included in the back of the book so the reader can actually do the math him/herself. Children of all ages will enjoy reading and learning with the "Dumb Millionaire".
