The reader follows Dominique as he foolishly purchases items with no thought as to how much he has spent or how much he has remaining. The lesson--receiving a large sum of money with no understanding, no knowledge, may not be the greatest gift of all. Each purchase is demonstrated in the book along with the mathematical operation required to calculate its total cost. The reader is shown additon, subtraction, multiplication and division.
