A book novella about love and obsession. . .
In the aftermath of a nervous breakdown, Mark Sutton takes himself to a religious retreat in Sicily to try to recover his equilibrium. An isolated convent imbued with the atmosphere of the Renaissance, stunning Mediterranean countryside, and the tender care of devout nuns should all help restore this troubled, fragile soul.
But Mark doesn't expect to fall in love, and his encounter with the beautiful Beatrice leads to a secret affair and a shocking discovery. Forced to pick up the pieces of his life once more, Mark's grip on reality begins to slide, and his emotional turmoil leads to a dramatic conclusion.
