Killer View — Ridley Pearson

When a skier goes missing from a Sun Valley mountaintop, Sheriff Walt Fleming and his Search and Rescue team -- including his close friend, Mark Aker -- are called upon to find him. In a blinding snowstorm, a team member is found dead. The following day, Aker goes missing. Walt Fleming, struggling through a divorce, torn between duty and loyalty to his friends, discovers a possible link to a string of recent occurrences.

A bridesmaid is hospitalized after an assault. A local anarchist and his group are wanted for questioning by the FBI. Workers at a local water-bottling plant are secretly flown out of state by the company's owner. Waist-deep in snow and knee-deep in lies, Walt suspects that people of great wealth and power want to keep him where he started: out in the cold. Walt has other ideas.
