Killer Maple Cookies — Patti Benning

Lilah Fallon is beyond excited at the prospect of opening her own cookie store, with the help of her neighbor, Margie. She already has her first major order, due the day before Thanksgiving, and is frantically searching for the perfect space in which to put her shop. Finding the perfect building for sale, she's ready to jump in feet first and put a payment down before someone else snatches it up, but when the owner is found dead, hours after she last saw him, her plans are derailed. Once again faced with a mysterious death, Lilah begins having second thoughts about opening her store. As Thanksgiving draws near and she struggles to finish the huge cookie order on time, she finds herself overwhelmed and on the verge of giving up, wondering if her dreams of owning a cookies store will be just another failed venture.
