Kevin the Crabshell Fairy — Liz Barron

This is the second of the first three books about the Salcombe Seaside Fairies. Kevin the Crab shell Fairy lives near the Lifeboat in Salcombe and loves to watch the lifeboat crew as they rush out to help sailors in trouble. Kevin gets into trouble one day and luckily for him Molly, the hero of these stories is on hand to help him. The people and places in this book are real so you might like to see if you can find the lifeboat, Matts' shop or Sunny Cove if you visit. If you do go to Sunny Cove make sure you look out for Kevin and his friends. The books are designed to be read to small children and then read by them as their skills develop.
