Two months into the new school year, Sheryl Williams walks with her sketchpad while fading into the walls of Wingate High School. When Sheryl meets Karen “Nlijah” Kazee, a “cool” yet friendly college art major, at the local Laundromat, she senses a kindred spirit who just may be able help her find her way out of oblivion.
