Manhattan P.I. Blaine Stewart wakes to find a dead body on her doorstep. The police believe it's a mugging gone bad, but Blaine knows otherwise. The dead man, a Wall Street stockbroker named George Walden, was on his way to hire her. And now it seems everyone wants to hire Blaine--to find out who killed Walden, and why.
