Jake Winslow is back in town for one reason: he wants his son. After his wife's death, he'd thought it best to allow the child's grandparents to care for him. But Kenny's older now, and everyone knows a boy needs his father.

Everyone, that is, except Kenny's aunt, Paige Kenton, who believes no boy needs a father like Jake -- wild, impulsive, unable to settle down.
