It Happened In Spain
Return to Spain? It was impossible! For Spain, to Catherine Garcia, held too many bitter memories. She had been brought up on the story of that fearful night during the Civil War when her father had been brutally murdered and when her mother had watched the village burn before escaping, Catherine in her arms, to the security of England.
Now Catherine was being asked to go back. A small child, whom she had only just met, had to be escorted to relatives in Madrid. Catherine refused the assignment, but the child looked at her and in the child's eyes she saw mirrored her own loneliness.
Suddenly, against her will, Catherine consented to take Anita to Spain. At the time she could not guess with what strange consequences, nor did she suspect how the past was about to catch up with the present.
