What promised to be a low-key vacation sailing off the coast of Maine brings Anthropologist Luke Littlefield and former homicide detective Bryan Sullivan to the site of a recent murder. Clues are few, and it looks like the murder case might grow cold. Teaming up with a Maine State Trooper may help with the investigation, but a sudden and unexpected offer threatens to derail Luke's security. But the appearance of an old high school friend makes Luke face the dark secrets of his past.
