In The Cut 2 — Kevin Bullock
Set in Durham, NC, In The Cut 2: Payday by Kevin Bullock is a mystery-suspense with a twist of urban & comedy. Manus' whole world brightens up when he discovers he has a nineteen-year-old brother named after his deceased father, Big Leet. But before he has a chance to get acquainted, his son, Lil Charles is kidnapped by an unknown source.
Lil Charles' mother Erica & her best friend, Shawanda are back in town. Three years has passed since she sold/blackmailed Manus for ten thousand dollars for Lil Charles. Oblivious to them, their New Orleans boyfriends trailed them with intentions to rob Manus for every dime he has.
But who really kidnapped Lil Charles? All fingers point to the New Orleans thugs, Erica & Shawanda. As well as Manus' right hand man, Pat. But all is not as it appears to be and Manus is stressed-out trying to figure out who's really responsible for the kidnapping.
In the end Manus is forced to make a win-lose situation that will haunt him for the rest of his life.
