Local news reporter Avery Shaw's week is going from bad to worse. It's bad enough there's a dead body in the parking lot of the newspaper, but when the investigation into the death leads to drugs â€" and a tie to her own family â€" things continue to spiral downward. If she could focus on that, though, it would just be another normal week. Constant run-ins with both the men in her life, a missing cousin, and that nagging little problem with her grandfather -- who insists on running around his yard naked -- are all combining for one heck of a headache. Avery is going to get the story â€" even if it means taking down her own cousin. Surviving to file that story, though, that's a whole other problem altogether.
