If Ben Hogan Had a Protege — Jim Williams

In the 1950's, Ben Hogan was recognized as the premier golfer by the golfing community, idolized as the best ball striker and an inspiration to all golfers for many reasons. He has traditionally been portrayed as a person who guarded his privacy and this novel intends to show another side of his personality. At some stage of his career, every professional golfer has tried to emulate Ben Hogan, either his work habits, intensity, knowledge of the game and swing mechanics, or ‘his secret'. This novel imagines what would have happened if Ben Hogan had a protégé.
