Iced Pumpkin Murder — Susan Gillard

When Heather Shepherd hears a scream on one of her Dave doggy walk, concern and fear are the first emotions which track across her mind.

But those emotions soon transform into intrigue, when she discovers a dead body and a snake in the residence of Hillside's most despised man. Heather decides to take the case and sets off on another sleuthing adventure, armed only with a box of her Iced Pumpkin Donuts, her bestie's witty and weak-kneed antics, and a burning desire to solve the case. But the case is not as simple as it might seem: the pet shop owner has an alibi, the snake isn't easy to handle, and a crazy cat lady roams Hillside's streets looking for someone to bash over the head with an umbrella. Heather has to contend with all the ups and downs of Hillside's citizens while trying to keep her eye on the donut.

She must get to the bottom of this one or risk allowing one of Hillside's most unexpected killers to get away with murder.
