When G. awakes alone in an upturned van his journey begins. Several days of hallucinations lead him through his future film-making career, his pursuit of both Federico Fellini and River Phoenix, and his truncated relationship with a dead girlfriend. Writer Camden Joy pays tribute to the distorted, patch-worked music of an obscure songwriter running from his impending fame. Haunted by the memory of his dead girlfriend, the songwriter slips in an out of consciousness and the past and future, in a jumble that ultimately resembles one of his songs. Joy expertly recreates the false starts and whipered melodies, the sheets of feedback and distortion buzz of G. and his band Kotatone.
