Masterless samurai Akitsu Masanosuke was persuaded to join the kidnapping ring “Five Leaves” after drawing the interest of its charismatic leader, Yaichi. At Yaichi's prompting he becomes employed as a guard for Katsuraya, a house of ill repute.
