Hidden Rage, a second novel in the series, finds Tom Lawson a consultant for Electric Boat, his wife Diana a clinical therapist, and FBI Special Agent Sam Wainwright racing against time to save the world. A young woman has been admitted to the Middletown emergency room in a psychotic state, having previously knelt in front of a stand of bushes that had burst into flames, canting warnings in an ancient language.
