Mom and I reply, big smiles on our faces.Two days ago, I had requested to my parents that we do something special before all of the birthday festivities begin today. For my birthday request, I had said that I wanted the three of us to go early morning surfing, and watch the sunrise. After I had requested this to them, Mom and Dad had smiled and had agreed to my request.As my parents and I sit on our surf boards together and watch the sunrise, I cannot help but feel happy, relaxed, and content. Going surfing and watching the sunrise with my wonderful parents is truly a special and wonderful way to start off my eighteenth birthday.
