"Did you see her hair?" Melody squealed when they were in the lunchroom. "It was alive!"

"I'm telling you," Eddie said, "she was just chewing that big wad of gum too hard."

"It's not right," Liza complained. "It's against the rules to chew gum in school."

"At least we know she's not a gremlin," Eddie said.

"What makes you say that?" Melody asked.

"I'm pretty sure that gremlins don't chew bubble gum,” Eddie said and took a bite of pizza.
