Gift of Second Chances by Christopher Baldwin

Gift of Second Chances is a modern, fun-filled, and exciting historical fiction. Scorpio is a terminally-ill, international terrorist whose soul had been removed at a very early age. As a final act before death, Scorpio seeks a high-profile murder that would have him remembered for decades. The killing of a U.S. president.

Scorpio knows the assassination will finally earn him the respect of Osama Bin Laden, who had disrespected and belittled him. Everything in the execution of the murder plot is going as planned until Richard Thomas interferes.

Richard Thomas is a laid-off electrical engineer from the small city of Erie, Pennsylvania. He has a deep disdain for religion or anything spiritual. During a trip to Israel, Richard, while looking for a non-religious antique, unknowingly purchases four powerful Biblical antiquities from an antique store. After a terror attack in Washington, D.C. that fatally wounded his niece, Richard blames God for the terror attack. In response, God teaches Richard a lesson using Scorpio and the antiquities.
