From Darkness to Light — Mark Pritchard

As adults, we often forget the turmoil we experienced in our youth. We look down our noses at the young people we come in contact with, who are struggling in their lives, as if they are some sort of alien creatures. We fail to empathize with the plight they face growing into adulthood. The pain of that experience has long faded from our memories. I however, was recently reminded of this painful time in my own life. While searching through some old boxes, I came across several notebooks filled with writings and poems dating from my mid-teens to my early twenties. Many of these writings were to dark for public display, but a few had some merit and found their way into this book. They are published as an exercise of remembrance with the hope that one of them might help someone through a difficult time.
