Since Manhattan's summer season is ever so dull, what else can Lady Margaret Priam do but Treed her brother's desperate fax and return to the family castle especially since one of his guests has been murdered? A whiz at society murders in the past even Lady Margaret is stunned by the goings-on at home.
There's a tacky little film crew in residence, renting out the old polo grounds, an ex-maharajah with two wives in tow, and a ludicrous cast of subordinates that serves too much comedy with their manners. When a second murder follows, Lady Margaret is not to be outdone. With her own instinctive powers of reason called into play, she outsmarts even Scotland Yard and sends the evil in her midst out into the night....
