A witty novel of theft, murder, arson, fraud and double-cross. Two events, which cost the insurance companies a lot of money, took place on the Friday before Bank Holiday. Charles Hammersley had a horse-riding accident in Knightsbridge, and the Continental Diamond Exchange in Hatton Garden were relieved of the Yellow Fire Diamonds. These events came together to lead to Operation Safe-Deposit.
