Stiles, one of the main characters of the series, Angels and Gargoyles, began his journey on earth differently than the angels against whom he helped Dylan fight. Stiles came later, ordered to come to this world to bring Joanna, his soul mate, back home. Stiles, however, swayed by his soul mate's arguments, makes the wrong choice and gives her more time on this world only to have her turn on him and leave him for dead with an angel's sword wound in his side.



Stiles thought he could trust Joanna, that he could trust the angels who are his brothers and sisters. But when he recovers from his wound, a gargoyle shows him the truth of what the angels are doing in this war between humans. The angels want free will, they want the world they were promised and never given.



Stiles must stand up against his brethren, must find a way to protect the humans at all cost. But this fight takes its toll on his soul. Stiles is the only angel who has chosen to protect the humans, the only human who has stayed true to his origins and his Father. It is a lonely fight that will take Stiles to places he never imagined he could go, filling him with pain his soul can hardly handle. But it will also lead him to something like a victory.
