Sophia only has one chance for survival, to reach Doctor Frankenstein's castle and hide from the angry mob.The Doctor finds her hiding in a deserted, crumbling part of the fortress, and instead of turning her over, he has her cleaned and fed and offers her a job working for Mrs Beckenbauer the aged cook. However, after two months, Sophia becomes intrigued as to what the Doctor is doing up in the tallest tower, hidden away from prying eyes. One night, as a storm rages and the Doctor is away, she climbs the steep stone steps and enters his laboratory. What she finds paralyses her with fear – but also something else – it fills her with primal lust. In that large chamber, something happens to change her world and affect the rest of her life.
