Cory has grown up in the Lilithian reaches knowing only one person he can count on, Ariel. Ariel was raised to treat him as if he were family. That wasn't hard to do considering that aside from Cory, she was the only one in the Menagerie that was not a Lilithian. However, growing up in the Menagerie meant having to watch their backs from threats both real and imagined. That also included threats from both inside the castle and outside the castle. They both will have to use their powers to traverse everything inside and outside the menagerie.Brendan and Breanne are twins, or so they thought. One day, they receive packages and a letter pointing them to a secret. They learn that they had a brother that was given up for adoption. They gather the help of their friends to seek out what happened to their brother which lead to Mars.Selena and Kurt have always had their eye on a faint star in the sky. They had no idea that it wasn't the star they sought but people. Those people have a quest that will lead them to the fringes of the Earth Alliance. Their quest will lead them head long into conspiracies involving the Alliance, the Lilithians and set them on a collision course with a group known as the Meta Mages who have their eyes set on them. The Meta Mages also have grander plans for the Earth Alliance at large, once they can get their hands on the final secret carried by the Balance.The question is: now that the Meta Mages own the Eye of the Tempest, where has the balance gone?
