Fire Creek — Anne Patrick

Author Kasey Montgomery has returned to her hometown of Fire Creek, Montana after the apparent suicide of her cousin. Within days of Beth's funeral, Kasey begins to find inconsistencies in her death. The local sheriff is quick to dismiss the allegations as figments of a writer's imagination. Kasey, going against her grandfather's wishes, is determined to prove otherwise.

Single father, and local park ranger, Jimmy Little Raven suspects Kasey may be on to something. His best friend was engaged to Beth and he too died a suspicious death. He's been around the area long enough to know things aren't always as they seem.

After Kasey and Jimmy compare notes, they come to the conclusion that something sinister is going down in Fire Creek, and that knowledge could place their lives in peril also.
