Have you ever had the brief fear of being left alone in the middle of nowhere? This young couple never did, until it happened to them. Discovering they are in two separate universes that intersect at a lonely gas station in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming is nearly impossible to comprehend. A bad cop, who thinks they are time traveling and is willing to do just about anything to force them to tell him how they do it, complicates their already impossible goal to get back together. Although this couple is supported by a few well-meaning people, one person comes out of nowhere, just like their dual reality split, to try to reunify them. His tool? A powerful fifth fundamental force, beyond the irreducible energies of gravity, electromagnetism, and strong and weak atomic interactions.
