Final Estimate — Douglas Browning

Final Estimate begins when private detective Deirdre Cash is hiredto find a missing daughter. After locating her, the case continueswith the search for the daughters missing boyfriend. It ends witha murder. Unwilling to leave the identity of the murderer to thepolice, Deirdre continues her investigation. In the process sheencounters a number of fascinating suspects, including the motherwhose daughter Deirdre had initially been hired to locate and herdaughters male and female associates. Thats half of the story.For the other half, Deirdre loses her husband to a young beautywith whom she becomes intimately involved. In the final estimatethe tale ends in a double triumph.
