"Filtered Love is a collection of poetry that journeys through the stages of discovering love, nature, and letting go. It is erotic and sensual and harbors honesty in every stanza, creating a visual sentiment of passion and nature. Kathryn Williams was born in 1981 and grew up in a small Midwestern town on the west side of Michigan. From an early age Kathryn expressed herself artistically through her love of cooking, art, and writing. It wasn't until Kathryn moved to Hawaii in 2004 after graduating from Culinary School, where she attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa that she discovered a true passion for writing. After having taken a creative writing class at the university, it became clear that writing and writing poetry was something that she was going to stick with. It was there that her poetic writing style began to take shape and has now transformed into what it is today. Writing has become a constant companion in Kathryn's life, whether for personal or professional reasons, it is a love affair that will carry on.
