"If surviving assassination attempts were an Olympic event, Fidel Castro would have won a gold medal." For over fifty years, there were no less than 638 schemes and/or attempts by the mafia and/or the CIA and/or other groups and organizations to rid Cuba of its dictator. Being snubbed by the United States government, he allied with the Soviet Union during the height of the Cold War and his small island country brought the world closer to the brink of nuclear disaster than it had ever been before. As he so boastfully shouted across the Caribbean and to the world; "I AM CUBA " I AM. . .,
