Eleanor — Susan Shaw

It's 1919 and Eleanor's 18th birthday. She thinks it's the start of an excellent life for her in Kent. Events don't turn out as she expects. She's devastated when her father refuses to let her marry Harry, despite her being pregnant. Because her father is well off, Eleanor expects him to set Harry up in business.
She is eventually forced into a loveless marriage and becomes determined to make her mark in the business world.
