Paul's face was as stormy as the night. "Is it true that you're going to marry Louis?" he demanded. Connie could feel her color rising. "He's asked me, yes. But it's really none of your business." "You little fool!" Paul gripped her shoulders. "Don't you know what you're getting into?" Connie was damned if she was going to let him run her life. She opened her mouth to retort, but her words were choked by his stinging kiss. "Next time you choose a man unwisely," he commanded as he released her, "make sure he is a man!"
