Rennie Tate wasn't contrary, but she was determined. Determined to turn a trash-filled inner-city lot into a lush garden. She just had to convince Connor Blackstone, the lot's owner, that it was a good idea.

Connor didn't care what Rennie did with the lot -- as long as she packed up her shovels and watering cans by fall. Because he planned on building a parking garage then.
