Victor Drake is a Private Investigator in Chicago during the Great Depression. Down on his luck and low on funds, he is considering quitting when the older daughter of a Hotel Mogul enters and asks for his help in recovering a Silver Necklace that has been a family Heirloom for generations. Having to accept secrecy as a part of the job, Drake soon finds that there are several stories about the necklace and that there are several suspects who all have their own motives for stealing it.
