Dollhouse — Elizabeth Hall

Lenore is the favorite patient of her doctor. He takes her everywhere with him- even if she doesn't like the idea of it, sometimes. One day, a trip to the city turns sour, and she finds herself questioning the man that she has trusted in since she and her twin sister were orphaned. That, and everybody down to the strangers she meets on the street question him, as well. Is something actually off? What does a strange toymaker have to do with anything? And why is Lenore treated like a fragile doll? The girl finds the answers to these questions whether she wants to or not, and she must decide either to stay with her doctor or find her own way in life- something nobody seems to want her to do.
