Dogfish on the Moon — Leo J. Du Lac

John and Howard explore the planet and it starts to rain. They crawl into a large eggshell to get out of the rain. When they come out of the eggshell, the lady fire dragon thinks she has at last hatched two baby fire dragons. With John and Howard on her back, marching home, a seven-headed monster is about to grab Howard. She blasts the head with fire and the other six heads pull back. There are trees on the moon, with fruit. The male dragon followed the boys and for the first time meets the lady dragon. They are delighted with each other. John crawls onto one dragon to pick fruit and is caught up into the gravity if the moon and is afraid he will never get home. He fights dogfish all night long and sleeps during the day. Finally as the moon goes over, one dragon wraps his tongue around John and pulls him back to the tiny earth.
