THE DOCTOR'S DECISION
Annie smiled wanly at Storm, and lifted a thin hand in welcome.
“This is the first chance I've had to get here,” he told her, pulling a chair up to the side of the high, narrow bed. “Look Annie -- I'd better get said what I came to say.”
“I thought you came to see me.”
“Well, I did. But, Annie, you've got to let me out of that promise I mad you.”
She caught his hand and held it hard. “Storm!” she said tensely, “you won't tell them -- you won't, will you, Storm? Please?”
He shook his head. “I'm not going to lie anymore!”
