Dinky — Jane Spence

Dinky is a mostly true story about a little boy and his pet ferret. One night, at bedtime, Dinky goes missing. The little boy searches for him all over the house, but when he cannot find him, he runs out into the dark night to find his pet. His scary adventures finally drive him back into the house where the little boy has a most pleasant surprise waiting for him.

The little ferret was a favorite pet of the authors grandsons, and the story was written for the entertainment of all six grandchildren.
