Diana and Her Crocodiles — Ruth Hamilton

Diana has a problem! Pet day is coming to her school, and she needs a super awesome, amazing pet to win. So she asks her mum if she can get a pony. ‘Certainly not!' says Mum. ‘We haven't enough grass on the lawn!' Then she asks her dad if she can get a goat. ‘Certainly not!' says Dad. ‘A goat may eat all the washing on the line!'

Things are looking very glum until Diana and her brother find some very large, extremely odd-looking eggs at the edge of the lake. Has Diana solved her pet crisis or just made things a whole lot worse?
