** Short Story **
A stranger arrives at the Serengeti Ranger Station, closely pursued by a pack of killers. He claims to be searching for diamonds, though the rangers know there are no precious stones on the Great Plain. The only riches to be found is ivory poached from the dwindling herds of elephants. However, the stranger is looking for a jewel of great price and he knows the killers have it.
