Destiny, Arizona, holds too many memories of Jessie Stewart's life as an orphan. But more than that, Destiny holds Sutton McAllister, her "foster" brother and the man she always wanted but never thought she could have.

Now adjusted to the fast pace of New York City, Jessie has developed into a beautiful young woman with her sights set on stardom. And it is her talent for singing that draws her back to Destiny's centennial celebration, back to the ranch where she had lived as a teen.

Jessie is eager for Sutton to see how grown up she is now, but a series of mishaps threaten her new independence. Sutton is the same as ever, dazzlingly handsome and truly a western gentleman, but now on his arm is his fiancee Suewellyn, a local beauty.
