Demons of Highpoint House — Cathy Cunningham
A force of diabolical terror reached out for the very soul of lovely Lara Nichols.
Lara Nichols had been called to the elegant mansion known as Highpoint House to tutor the charming Borthwick children. At first she experienced a happiness and contentment she had not believed possible. Then one evening at dinner Lara witnessed and almost total transformation of the man she had learned to love, into a being of unspeakable evil.
Suddenly she recognized the tell-tale signs of Satanic possession…she could only hope it was not too late to break the diabolical spell.
ALTAR OF SATAN
The scent of evil was strong in the room. The music grew louder, the chant faster.
For a moment Lara wanted to run but knew she could not. She moved forward as if drawn by some unseen force, some irresistible power.
She shielded her eyes against the brilliant light and stared in disbelief toward the end of the room. There she saw a statue of Satan himself, a shrine devoted to the Prince of Darkness.
Lara tried to look away, to run, to scream. But she could do nothing, and slowly she felt herself falling, falling and it seemed that she would never stop.
