It was all a matter of logic, Susan told herself over and over. Just because Tildy had once given blood to save her life, didn't mean that she could live in Susan's body. But that's what Tildy seemed to be doing. Because ever since Tildy died, Susan was acting more and more like her, ordering foods she'd always hated--things that Tildy liked; going to sleep in pajamas--and waking up in one of Tildy's slinky nightgowns; even bleaching her hair the same ice-blonde shade as Tildy's.
And Isis, Tildy's regal white Angora...why, the cat even looked like Tildy. And acted as vicious!
Isis, the demon cat, whose purr sounded like cold, mocking laughter, and whose meow sounded like Tildy's voice, calling to Susan from beyond the grave...
