The town of Medicine Bow, Arizona, gives Clint Adams a sick feeling right from the start. It seems a deadly epidemic swept through, claiming more than a few lives and driving the rest out in a hurry. But Clint isn't about to flee the scene--especially when he discovers a little girl abandoned by her parents and a feisty young woman determined to save her home. But he soon learns that there are more survivors in town--a group of bad men sicker than any epidemic could explain.
