As a child of the 60s, when racial strife was at its peak, DARIOUS found his way, through laughter. He was the class clown, even when he asked thought provoking questions. Safely tucked in an all Colored community, he finally comes face to face with racism, when racial tensions made its way to his junior high school football game. During that scuffle he meets Blake, an all Irish White boy, on the opposing team. The two of them become best friends. They go off to Nam together, along with two more classmates, with the understanding that they would not be separated.Darious was trained by his father to be a sharpshooter, and he has perfect aim. But, he only aimed to maim, because he doesn't have it him to kill a soul! His commanding officer soon realized that the battlefield is not the place for him. After all, you cannot be in the military if you can't kill! Given an opportunity to work covertly, in exchange for an honorable discharge, Darious and his friends accepts the offer. Hence the beginning of RAVEN, and the SHADES... SHERELL is the woman Darious has loved since he was five years old, but he had not seen her since they were sixteen. While he and his team are working with another operation, in the inner city, she crosses his path. Will he survive the night to rekindle what was meant to be? Or has too much time passed? It was anybody's guess...
