This volume contains four of Lee Nelsonsssssssss favorite stories. Abraham Webster's Last Chance was written in 1989 after Lee was asked to give a Christmas talk in an LDS sacrament meeting in Mapleton, Utah. "An idea for a story with a Christmas theme had been brewing in the back of my mind for many years," Lee explained, "so rather than prepare a talk I wrote the story and read it to the congregation." Afterwards, so many people asked for copies that Lee printed the story in a booklet that ended up selling several thousand copies. "That story deserved to be in a book," Lee added, "and is one of the main reasons I decided to do this volume containing my favorite stories."
In Dance of Courage a young boy believes you can do anything you set your mind to--even get the most popular girl to ask you to the school dance.
Stronger Than Reason, Lee's first story, published in BYU's Wye Magazine in 1966, later widely circulated throughout the LDS Seminary system.
During the early 1980's, while editor of the Central Utah Journal, Lee had occasion to write a number of investigative articles concerning money making schemes or scams designed to take advantage of the trusting nature of Mormons, The Sure Thing, the last sotry published in this volume, is Lee's colorful and dramatic description of te most perfect scam ever devised to take advantage of the gullible Mormon.
