Beth Grant's husband has been shot dead outside a jazz club in Zurich, and a mysterious American woman, Amy Michaels, has disappeared. The jazz club owner, Mike Novak, cannot help solve the mystery, but Beth and Novak soon find themselves drawn into the clandestine world of the death-dealing Cabal.
